About Athens Apartment Association
The Athens Apartment Association is a Chapter of the Georgia Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association. The organization keeps its members abreast of legislative issues by having representatives from the National Apartment Association visiting Washington D.C. to represent the entire Apartment Industry in front of Congress. Issues that continue to arise in the apartment industry such as lead paint, mold, asbestos etc. require representation in front of Congress when these issues arise and become a major problem in our day to day business.
The Georgia and National Apartment Association provide numerous education courses from Fair Housing Practice to Preventative Maintenance, soft ware including lease agreements that comply with all Landlord Tenant Laws, many areas of legal support and information, and general support for our everyday business practice.
Members of our local association gain knowledge along with information of our local market conditions as well as to where are market is headed with demand and development.
The Athens Apartment Association sponsors a Charity of the members choice each year by hosing a Silent Auction in the month of October. All Officers of the Athens Apartment Association are volunteers and are employed in some capacity of the apartment industry.
Monthly meetings are held at 11:30am the third Tuesday of each month at various locations through out the Athens area. Most meetings include a quest speaker of interest to the association that can provide our members with information on topics of interest to our businesses.
